In September 2024, Turkey's rebar exports experienced a year-on-year decline of 17.2%, totaling 336,245 metric tons. However, this figure represents a 10.1% increase compared to the previous month. The total export value for this period reached $193.70 million, which is down 15.9% from the same month last year but up 8.2% from August 2024. These fluctuations indicate a complex market environment where monthly variations can significantly impact overall performance.

Turkey Reinforcing bar export all countries

For the January to September period, Turkey's total rebar exports amounted to 2.54 million metric tons, reflecting a modest increase of 1.1% year-on-year. In contrast, the export value during this timeframe saw a decrease of 6.6%, bringing it to approximately $1.49 billion. This suggests that while export volumes have stabilized, the financial returns have been negatively affected by market conditions and pricing strategies.

Among Turkey's key export destinations, Yemen remained the leading market, receiving 551,996 metric tons of rebar, although this represented a 17.1% decline compared to the previous year. Following Yemen were Romania and Albania, which imported 196,997 metric tons and 165,304 metric tons, respectively. This distribution highlights Turkey's reliance on specific markets for its rebar exports and underscores the competitive nature of the global steel trade amid fluctuating demand and pricing pressures.
